‘Mr Rose’, original watercolour dating to 1900, featuring a man smoking a pipe, framed

A lovely and unique piece of art featuring a man described simply as ‘Mr Rose’. It appears to be in its original frame, and is behind glass. There is some damage to the wooden edges of the frame itself but the painting itself survived in excellent condition. Mr Rose’s eyes really do follow you around the room, and his wry smile is brilliantly enigmatic.
Don’t buy him, please, as he looks great hanging on my  shop wall! Well, go on then, if you must, so long as you give him a good home…

Dimensions in frame approximately 40.5 x 36 cm
