A beautiful 19th century dallah; a coffee pot of Bedouin design.

Handmade using traditional hammering techniques, in Syria, c.130-180 years ago. 

Brass with silver plate to exterior (partially worn away as shown in photos) and another metal plate to the interior (possibly tin).

At present the lid lifts directly off, which is an easy fix that could be corrected by adding a metal wire or thin metal rod back into the hinge.

The height with lid is approximately 36 cm and the length from top of spout to back of handle approximately 35 cm
