Aesop’s Fables - very early printed, illustrated book dating to the 1600s, in beautiful condition with soft leather binding and handwritten notes

This copy of Aesop’s Fables is written in Latin and dates to 1665. It is illustrated with woodcuts throughout and is printed on a beautiful paper, and bound in soft pale cream leather (calfskin or similar). The binding is in excellent condition, as are the pages of the book. There are handwritten notes on the inside front and back pages, one of which features a date of 1678, so they were presumably written shortly after the book was first printed. There are also traces of handwriting in dark brown ink on the cover and spine. 
This very rare and valuable book is best stored in a stable environment free of excess moisture or heat, and should be handled with clean, freshly-washed hands. Gloves are not advised as they can cause damage to the paper on handling due to the loss of touch sensitivity.
