Original 1950s Aurora Borealis glass crystal double stand necklace

Aurora Borealis crystals were developed during the 1950s and became extremely popular due the high reflectivity of their special faceted cut, developed by the likes of Swarovski and Christian Dior, coupled with a new use of micro-metallic coatings to provide the light-refracting optical effects of a rainbow or the night sky phenomenon after which they are named. 

This is a lovely example of an Aurora Borealis necklace, in good condition with just a few minor scuff marks and scratches only visible upon close inspection, and commensurate with age. 

Length when worn is 36-45 cm.
