Lucite paperweight encasing real heather plant

Beautiful paperweight encasing and preserving a real heather plant.

Lucite is a high quality 'acrylic glass'; a synthetic polymer which features excellent refractive properties, impact strength and durability but can be cast at a lower temperature than glass, allowing it to be used to encase and preserve real plants. This lovely orb has a real weight to it, contributing to the overall look and feel of glass. 

Excellent condition overall, with one scratch/scuff mark to the side and a few very tiny blemishes otherwise. The Hippocampus label is still present on the base.
