Very large, antique 1880s shop scales. Cast iron and brass with original ceramic weigh plate
£125.00
A large, exceptionally well-preserved set of shop scales, in cast iron and brass, with a ceramic plate featuring the maker’s details on one side of the balance.
The scales are Victorian, dating to the 1880s, and were made by Berry & Warmington Ltd., of Liverpool and Manchester. They are Class B scales.
They are in really beautiful condition, with the only flaw being a slight imbalance (approximately 65 g or 0.14 lb), which could be corrected by adding a small weight to the lighter side.
