Original 1940s reverse-carved lucite brooch with delicate pink and green flower design

A rare example of early use of polymer in jewellery setting, this 1940s luxury brooch was hand-carved to the rear to produce the three dimensional flower decoration contained within it.
Very good condition with just a few barely visible hairline scratches to the lucite as is commensurate with age. See photos.
