Major Thompson Compilation - An Illustrated, Satirical French Take On Cultural Differences

Major Thompson Lives in France (1955) and Major Thompson and I (1957), both by Pierre Daninos with drawings by Walter Goetz. 
These two books, here in a single volume, chart the exploits of Major William Marmaduke Thompson, an Englishman living in France after marrying a French woman. 
This compiled edition is from 1959 and was published by the Reprint Society. 
Good condition albeit with a little spotting to some of the pages, mainly at the edges (see photos).
