Fabulous Queer Author of Ancient Greek Fiction Mary Renault - set of two matching hardcover books

Mary Renault (1905-1983) was an author of multiple books centring on Ancient Greece. Renault was in a committed relationship with another woman and wrote about openly gay characters in her work, which was more than daring in the environment of censorship and taboo prevalent during the 1950s. 
This set consists of two titles published by the Reprint Society in 1959 and 1963: The King Must Die, and The Bull From the Sea. 
The books are in good condition commensurate with age: note there is some spotting to the pages especially at the edges, but otherwise really well-preserved. 

A must have for fans of the Classics, queer history, attractive bookshelves, or just a jolly fun read!
